Competition Details
The Camera Obscura Journal of Literature and Photography is hosting a photography competition for both professional and non-professional photographers. $1500 in cash awards and publication. (also opn to photography-based mixed media artworks)

First prize in the professional category - $1200 ($15/entry).
- First prize in the non-professional category - $300 ($10/entry). Non-professionals may also enter the professional category.
- all finalists receive publication
* For a limited time the enter early fee is $12 professional and $8 non professional.
Open to all types of photography and photography-based mixed media artworks. Judged on the following:
-
artistic merit (use of the elements and principles of art and design, as well as artistic impact)
- creativity
- technical proficiency
- expression of the theme
- effective use of light
All finalists in both categories will also receive publication in the Camera Obscura Journal this spring. We have a distinguished panel of judges including an ASP fellow and several other awarding winning photographers (details on the website). All entries are judged anonymously and are accepted only through our electronically submission system.
