Exhibition Details
Studio Montclair is accepting submissions for its 12th Annual Juried Exhibition, CONTINUUM. The exhibition runs from March 10 to April 11, 2009 in the George Segal Gallery.
Juror
Patterson Sims - Director, Montclair Art Museum.
Spanning a thirty-year career, Mr. Sims was formerly at the Museum of Modern Art as Director of the Department of Education; Seattle Art Museum as Associate Director for Art and Exhibitions;Whitney Museum as first designated curator of their collection; OK Harris Gallery as Assistant Director. Concentrating on modern and contemporary art, Mr. Sims is also a free-lance writer and lecturer and serves on several non-profit boards in the visual arts, education and community service.
Studio Montclair provides numerous opportunities for both juried and non-juried exhibitions. Studio Montclair hosts monthly Block Gallery exhibits, the Meet the Artist series in collaboration with the Montclair Public Library and an annual open juried exhibition as well as Member Exhibitions. Venues, both in and outside of Montclair, are utilized to reach an ever-increasing audience.
